The next American monster horror picture Abigail is being directed by Matt Bettinelli-Olpin and Tyler Gillett, with Guy Busick and Stephen Shields penning the screenplay. The film stars Melissa Barrera, Dan Stevens, Alisa Weir, Kathryn Newton, William Catlett, Kevin Durand, Anguish Cloud (in a posthumous cinematic appearance), and Giancarlo Esposito. It is based on and reimagines the 1936 Universal Classic Monsters picture Dracula’s Daughter.

On April 19, 2024, Universal Pictures is set to release Abigail.

In the movie, a ring of kidnappers kidnaps the daughter of a major underworld figure and demands that she be watched over for a $50 million ransom. However, when Abigail reveals that she is actually a vampire child and starts tracking them down one by one, the kidnappers end up getting more than they bargained for.
