“Madgaon Express,” Kunal Kemmu’s directorial debut, has finally hit theaters. The movie came out on March 22. Check out our review to see if the movie lives up to the hype.

When was the last time you saw a movie and couldn’t stop laughing? If you can’t remember, make sure you purchase your “Madgaon Express” tickets.

At 9:30 p.m., after a long day at work, most people at the film’s press conference were ready to go home and get into their cozy beds. They had no idea that they would be hollering during the entire movie they were about to see. With this comedy, Kunal Kemmu makes an incredible directorial debut. Along with receiving credit for the story, script, and dialogue, he also received full points for all of these aspects of the role, not to mention the brief appearance.

The humorous, well-written movie “Madgaon Express” has a very modern feel to it, but it also brings back memories of the Govinda classics that used to make people laugh.

‘Madgaon Express’ prioritizes skill over mere popularity in a field where box office success is frequently determined by star power. Pratik Gandhi is well-known for his serious theater work, but this movie shows off his versatility. His performance, versatility, and especially his physical comedy skills make him the unexpected gem. It brings to mind the well-known Ross played by David Schwimmer in “Friends.” You kind of wish he was high all the time after watching the sequences where he takes narcotics by accident. Furthermore, this Harshad Mehta is a talented dancer (pun intended)!

While Divyenndu did start out in comedy, he is now more known for his portrayal of the desi goon Munna Bhaiya in the film “Mirzapur.” That’s why it makes me so happy to watch him perform what he appears to enjoy the most. The actor has amazing comedic timing, and even though he plays the stereotypical “mischievous friend,” he manages to win your heart. Divyenndu fully embraces Dodo and lifts the movie on his strong shoulders.

Although Avinash Tiwary has always received appreciation for his performances, in “Madgaon Express,” you get to see him transform into a classic “Bollywood hero.” He is such a natural performer, and he has a great screen presence. He also looks great. Even if he doesn’t have as many funny moments as the other two, his controlled performance keeps you riveted. You will be moved by the scene where he talks about the generation’s futile attempts to find love and how the internet provides instant fulfillment. It’s unfortunate that none of the three actors have had the chance to play as many excellent roles as they should have (Producers, are you listening?).

Actor Chhaya Kadam also appears to be having a lot of success. She recreates her magic as Kanchan Komdi in this comedic escapade, following up her incredible performance in ‘Laapataa Ladies’. You’ll be in stitches when you see National Award-winning actor Upendra Limaye as her estranged husband, Mendoza. Nora Fatehi is not limited to being an eye candy or just dancing around to a song; instead, she is given the opportunity to demonstrate her acting abilities.

Actor Kunal Kemmu has always been exceptional, and ‘Madgaon Express’ has demonstrated his abilities as a writer and director. He performs comedy, which is sometimes thought to be one of the hardest genres to master, brilliantly in his debut. The banter is what really makes the movie stand out, even though the premise and writing are interesting. Take this one: “I would have been a dead body if I hadn’t wanted to be somebody.” ‘Dil Chahta Hai se Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara’ is one of the many songs and statements that pay homage to previous Excel movies; it’s a great way to evoke nostalgia. The absence of major acts and forced humor, particularly in the end, adds to the film’s deliciousness.

All things considered, “Madgaon Express” is a much-needed diversion from all the intense action movies, biopics, and even socially conscious movies. It takes you back to more carefree days when watching movies meant nothing more than enjoying yourself at the movies theater with your loved ones. So grab a box of popcorn and buckle in for an insane, side-splitting ride.
