The 2024 Indian Hindi-language action thriller film Yodha (transl. Warrior) was written and directed by Sagar Ambre and Pushkar Ojha. Produced by Hiroo Yash Johar, Karan Johar, and Apoorva Mehta under the Dharma Productions label, the film was Sidharth Malhotra, Raashii Khanna, and Disha Patani are the film’s main stars.
On March 15, 2024, Yodha was released in theaters.
Yodha Movie Review: Sidharth Malhotra, Raashii Khanna, and Disha Patani’s first impressions of the film are finally available, and they’re overwhelmingly good. Yodha, co-directed by Sagar Ambre and Pushkar Ojha, centers on Arun Katyal, a commando assigned to the difficult task of saving an Air India plane that has been hijacked.
On the internet, a video of Sidharth and the Yodha team getting a standing ovation after the film’s Mumbai premiere has gone viral. A user shared the screening clip and commented, “YODHA IS NOTHING BUT A MASS HYSTERIA!!!” At the special screening in Mumbai, our Yodha Sidharth Malhotra and the director team of Sagar Ambre and Pushkar Ojha were met with a warm and passionate reception. Another user posted, “Yodha appears to be the best hijack-based patriotic film in Indian cinematic history, based on initial reviews.” My favorite actor, Idharth Malhotra, has contributed another outstanding film, Shershaah, to Indian cinema.
The first chief of the special task force, Yodha, is Arun Katyal’s (Sidharth Malhotra) father at the start of the story.
Like any other son, Arun wants to follow in his father’s footsteps and help his nation. However, his father counsels him that the uniform is a way of life and that one must earn it in addition to upholding its dignity. He is left in a profound state of grief after his father is slain one day while on a special mission.
Nevertheless, he succeeds in becoming a Yodha—one of the hardest of all—through intense determination. After one of the hijacking events, when he was meant to rescue a nuclear scientist and other passengers from the crisis, everything completely changed. But when he doesn’t, he gets accused of disobeying the directives from higher-ranking officials and colleagues in the government. After then, a panel convenes to determine the Yodha task force’s future. Because his father was Yodha’s first chief, Arun had an emotional connection to the force and fights to keep the team from being outlawed.
The action-packed movie, which was directed by Sagar Ambre and Pushkar Ojha, is entirely fiction-based and has no connection to any actual events. However, because Yodha has multiple hijack incidents, the majority of the plot will be witnessed in mid-air.
Both Sagar and Pushkar have done an excellent job directing, expertly showing intense action moments. Yodha is a must-see movie if you love action movies. The movie’s visual effects are very good.
The filmmaker skillfully uses heartfelt songs and background music to highlight the film’s several poignant moments on the big screen.
You won’t be dissatisfied with any of the lead cast’s acting performance. On the other hand, I believe Sidharth Malhotra might have performed better in the romance sequences with Raashii Khanna. The two leading ladies, however, were flawless in their roles. Raashii’s endearing, vivacious appearance and acting prowess will win you over throughout the movie.
You will be equally impressed by Disha Patani’s performance in the movie. Additionally, you will see one of these women in action.
The movie’s soundtrack had room for improvement. You won’t recall any other song after seeing the movie save for “Qismat Badal Di” by B Praak. The background music, on the other hand, is expertly placed during emotionally charged scenes and will make you cry.
You would adore Sidharth Malhotra as a guy in uniform once more after watching Yodha, which is a good film overall. He could have done a better job as a lover boy in the movie, but Yodha is more about action, so that is definitely a side note. As was already noted, the movie is entirely fictional and has nothing to do with any real-life events, but it nonetheless manages to instill a sense of patriotism in its audience. In addition, it has a lot of turns that keep you gripping the edge of your seat. I’ll give it a rating of 3.5 out of 5.
