Top 10 Amazon Prime Series
1. Mirzapur
Mumbaiet Krishna, Vineet Krishna, and Karan Anshuman developed the script for the Indian action crime thriller series Mirzapur, which is available to stream on Amazon Prime Video. Together with Gurmmeet Singh and Mihit Desai, who helmed the second season of the show, Anshuman directed the first. Excel Entertainment’s Rithesh Sidhwani and Farhan Akhtar are producing the series. The protagonist of the tale is Akhandanand Tripathi (Pankaj Tripathi), popularly referred to as Kaleen Bhaiya, a mafia don and the unofficial ruler of Mirzapur in the Uttar Pradesh Purvanchal region. Pankaj Tripathi, Shweta Tripathi, Divyendu Sharma, Ali Fazal, Vikrant Massey, Shriya Pilgaonkar, Rasika Dugal, Harshita Gaur, and Kulbhushan Kharbanda comprise the primary cast of the first season.
With the exception of Massey and Pilgaonkar, the main cast from the first season returns for the second, while the new cast includes Vijay Varma, Isha Talwar, Lilliput, Anjum Sharma, Priyanshu Painyuli, Anangsha Biswas, and Neha Sargam.
The majority of the series‘ filming took place in Uttar Pradesh, with Mirzapur serving as the focal point. Other sites included Jaunpur, Azamgarh, Ghazipur, Lucknow, Raebareli, Gorakhpur, and Varanasi. The series was edited by Anshul Gupta and Manan Mehta, while Sanjay Kapoor handled the camera work. The background music was composed by John Stewart Eduri.
On November 16, 2018, Mirzapur’s inaugural season was made available. While critics gave the series mixed reviews, audiences responded well to its premiere. Reaction to the cast members’ performances was overwhelmingly positive, especially Pankaj Tripathi’s. After Sacred Games, it finally rose to become India’s most watched online series. On October 23, 2020, Mirzapur’s second season was made available. With the cast of the program on the way, the third season is anticipated in 2024.
2. The Family Man
Developed by Raj & DK for the streaming service Amazon Prime Video, the Indian Hindi-language spy thriller series The Family Man stars Manoj Bajpayee as middle-class Srikant Tiwari, who works covertly as an intelligence officer for the Threat Analysis and Surveillance Cell (TASC), a fictional division of the National Investigation Agency. Priyamani, Sharad Kelkar, Neeraj Madhav, Sharib Hashmi, Dalip Tahil, Sunny Hinduja, and Shreya Dhanwanthary are among the other actors who star in it. In addition to co-writing the story and script with Suman Kumar, Raj & D.K. produced and directed the series. Sumit Arora and Kumar wrote the dialogue. As the primary antagonist in the second season of the show, Samantha Ruth Prabhu made her debut on the internet with Suparn S. Verma directing a section of the season.
The first season of the show was filmed concurrently in Mumbai, Delhi, Kerala, Jammu & Kashmir, and Ladakh. Filming concluded in May 2019. The series was first announced in June 2018. The second season’s filming got underway in November 2019 and ended in September 2020. Azim Moolan and Nigam Bomzan handled the first season’s cinematography, while Cameron Eric Bryson was brought in for the second. Ketan Sodha wrote the background music, and Sumeet Kotla edited the series.
Eleven Filmfare OTT Awards, five Asian Academy Creative Awards, and two honors from the Melbourne Indian Film Festival were bestowed upon The Family Man. a third time around.
3. Aspirants
Arunabh Kumar and Shreyansh Pandey created the online series Aspirants, an Indian drama about coming of age in Hindi that is produced by The Viral Fever (TVF), written by Deepesh Sumitra Jagdish, and directed by Apoorv Singh Karki. Sunny Hinduja, Namita Dubey, Abhilash Thapliyal, Naveen Kasturia, and Shivankit Parihar are among its stars. The plot centers on three friends studying in Rajinder Nagar, Delhi, for the UPSC exam: Abhilash, Guri, and SK.
Five episodes of the series have already debuted online on TVF’s YouTube channel and TVF Play since it started broadcasting on April 7, 2021. It aired on May 8, 2021, as the season finale.
The second season of TVF was announced in October 2023, and on October 25, 2023, it debuted on Amazon Prime Video.
TVF hopefuls tells the story of three UPSC hopefuls who are friends: Abhilash, Guri, and SK. While the present looks at their adult lives outside of Rajinder Nagar, the past describes their lives as UPSC aspirants in Old Rajinder Nagar, Delhi, and their struggles to pass the exam.
The show is set in Delhi’s Old Rajinder Nagar, which is home to a number of coaching facilities and hostels for UPSC hopefuls. The protagonists of the tale are three buddies named Abhilash, Guri, and SK who are getting ready for the UPSC exam. The ups and downs of their lives, as well as their professional and interpersonal interactions and relationships with their families, are depicted in the series.
4. Farzi
Farzi, which translates to “Fake,” is a television series that is produced, directed, and created in Hindi by Raj & DK. The duo also co-wrote the show alongside Sita Menon and Suman Kumar. 5. Panchayat
The Viral Fever produced the Indian Hindi-language streaming television series Panchayat for Amazon Prime Video. With Jitendra Kumar, Raghubir Yadav, Neena Gupta, Sanvikaa, Chandan Roy, Durgesh Kumar, Ashok Pathak, Faisal Malik, and Sunita Rajwar in the cast, the series was directed by Deepak Kumar Mishra and scripted by Chandan Kumar. It tells the story of an engineering graduate who, after being denied better employment opportunities, accepts a position as a Panchayat secretary in a fictional, isolated village in Uttar Pradesh called Phulera.
The show was filmed in the village of Mahodiya, in the Madhya Pradesh district of Sehore, at an actual panchayat office. The distance between Bhopal, the capital of Madhya Pradesh, and Sehore is roughly 40 kilometers. Mahodiya is almost ten kilometers away from the district office in Sehore. Anurag Saikia composed the series’ soundtrack and score, while Amitabh Singh and Amit Kulkarni handled the filming and editing, respectively. After directing the corresponding second seasons of Humorously Yours and Permanent Roommates, this series marks Mishra’s full-fledged directing debut!
The show’s second season was slated to premiere on May 20, 2022. All of the episodes, though, were made available two days ahead of schedule. Abhishek appears to be studying for the CAT exam this season while also showing an increased interest in local politics and events.
The show, which was originally slated to start on January 15, 2024, has been renewed for a third season and moved to February.
6. The Boys

Karan Anshuman is the creator of the Indian sports drama series Inside Edge, which is available to stream on Amazon Prime Video. 9. Made In Heaven
The online series Made in Heaven, an Indian romantic drama, debuted on Amazon Prime Video on March 8, 2019. The series, which is produced by Excel Entertainment, follows the lives of Tara and Karan, two Delhi-based wedding coordinators who own a company called Made in Heaven. The show, which stars Sobhita Dhulipala, Arjun Mathur, Jim Sarbh, Shashank Arora, Kalki Koechlin, and Shivani Raghuvanshi, is Amazon Video’s fourth original fictitious Indian series.
The show was written by Zoya Akhtar, Reema Kagti, and Alankrita Shrivastava. The nine episodes of the first season were directed by Prashant Nair, Nitya Mehra, Shrivastava, and Akhtar. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, work on the second season was supposed to start in April 2020 but was delayed. The second season of the show’s filming concluded in April 2022. On August 10, 2023, the second season was made available.
10. Hostel Daze
The comedy-drama streaming television miniseries Hostel Daze was written and produced by Abhishek Yadav and Saurabh Khanna in the Indian language. Adarsh Gourav, Luv Vispute, Shubham Gaur, Nikhil Vijay, and Ahsaas Channa play the key parts in this Raghav Subbu-directed film. On December 13, 2019, Hostel Daze made its Amazon Prime Video debut. There are four seasons to the show and twenty-one episodes total, lasting roughly thirty minutes each. Seasons 2 and 3 debuted on July 23, 2021, November 16, 2022, and September 27, 2023, respectively.
