Netflix will stream the American documentary series You Are What You Eat: A Twin Experiment, which premieres in 2024. It is based on an 8-week Stanford University study in which 22 sets of genetically identical twins were fed either an omnivorous or vegan diet, which was considered healthy. On January 1, 2024, it was made available.
Based on an 8-week Stanford University study, You Are What You Eat: A Twin Experiment follows 22 sets of genetically identical twins who followed opposite (but healthy) diets, omnivore and vegan. For the first four weeks, the subjects received their meals; for the next four weeks, they were responsible for preparing their own. The twins on the vegan diet “had a 10% to 15% drop in LDL cholesterol, a 25% drop in insulin, and a 3% drop in body weight in just eight weeks, all by eating real food without animal products,” according to Christopher D. Gardner, the study’s leader.

What the Health is a 2017 American documentary film that challenges the policies of prominent health and pharmaceutical organizations and examines the impact of eating meat, dairy products, and eggs on one’s health. It also promotes a diet high in plants. Its scientific errors have drawn criticism.
The movie, dubbed “The Health Film That Health Organizations Don’t Want You To See,” follows Kip Andersen as he conducts interviews with medical professionals and other people about nutrition and related subjects. Additionally, Andersen is shown making an effort to get in touch with officials of other health groups, but is not happy with the answers he receives. He investigates the purported relationship between the pharmaceutical, dairy, and meat businesses, as well as different health groups, through more interviews. In summary, eating meat and dairy products can lead to major health issues, and there’s a conspiracy to hide this fact.

What is the show about, Hack Your Health: The Secrets of Your Gut? The main focus of the series is on how important gut health is and how it’s directly related to major health issues like depression, anxiety, Parkinson’s disease, and even cancer.
Scientists and physicians have recently developed a renewed interest in studying the gut. Studies have shown that the digestive system affects our general health far more than previously believed, and it is not merely a place where food is processed. The gut can be associated with a variety of conditions, including Parkinson’s disease and intractable weight gain. For this reason, it is essential to comprehend our digestive system and how our diet affects it. German physician Giulia Enders collaborates with colleagues in a new documentary titled Hack Your Health: The Secrets of Your stomach, which aims to explain how the stomach functions and how you can make it work for you.

The impact that dietary decisions have on human health, the health of the environment, and the lives of other living things is examined in this documentary. This addresses a number of false beliefs on diet and food. I will be discussing the movie’s plot from now on, so beware of spoilers. Please note that I am not a dietitian and that my knowledge of nutrition is limited.
The explanations that follow are based on my interpretation of the material presented in this film. I was going through Netflix for something to watch when I saw Food Choices. I was thrilled to see a new film released in September 2016 because I feel like I’ve seen most documentaries about food or veganism. I was curious to see how this movie would differentiate itself from the other culinary documentaries because, to be honest, I can’t say I can tell the distinctions between them all (they all kind of mix together!).
5. Poisoned – the dirty truth about your health (2023)

A Netflix video called “Poisoned: The Dirty Truth About Your Food” seeks to raise awareness of the risks posed by bacteria—specifically, salmonella and E. Coli O157—that can lurk in our food supply and cause deadly infections.
Watching the new Netflix video Poisoned: The Dirty Truth About Your cuisine can be a nightmare in a nation where the sweat that runs down the golgappa bhaiya’s arm is considered a crucial component of street cuisine. It is, in fact, the scariest film of the year thus far, despite the fact that it lacks a single jump scare.
6. Food Matters (2008)

The 2008 movie Food Matters explores nutrition. The movie makes the case that treating a variety of illnesses, including diabetes, cancer, heart disease, and depression, with a targeted diet can frequently be more effective than receiving medical care. Moreover, it frequently refers to the medical sector as a “sickness industry,” one that makes more money managing symptoms than finding cures for diseases.
7. The Game Changers (2018)

An American documentary from 2018 called The Game Changers explores athletes who switch to plant-based diets. The lives of plant-based athletes are examined in the movie. Viewers gave it mainly positive reviews, although several experts in science communication, fitness, and nutrition also voiced criticism. In January 2018, The Game Changers made its premiere at the Sundance Film Festival. A second edit was then released globally and screened for one day in September 2019. James Cameron, Arnold Schwarzenegger, Pamela Anderson, Rip Esselstyn, Jackie Chan, and Brendan Brazier are among the more than a dozen executive producers of the movie.
James Wilks teaches self defense and is a mixed martial artist. He investigated the impact of plant-based diets on health, recuperation, and athletic performance during his recovery from an injury. Prior to speaking with sportsmen like Scott Jurek, Patrik Baboumian, Bryant Jennings, and Derrick Morgan (together with his wife, plant-based chef Charity Morgan), he first examines the vegetarian diet of Roman gladiators.

A interesting look at how American agricultural policy and food culture grew in the 20th century, and how the California food movement rebelled against big agribusiness to establish the local organic food movement.
